Taxi Rank Upgrade Works 

We are upgrading the taxi rank to improve customer comfort, accessibility and the overall arrival experience. 

From Monday 24 August 2026, works will begin to install a new, permanent taxi rank shelter and complete associated upgrades. During this time, there will be temporary changes to pedestrian and vehicle access in the Aqua Car Park and taxi rank area. 

Taxi services will continue to operate throughout the works. Temporary pedestrian routes, vehicle access arrangements and taxi pick-up and drop-off locations will be clearly signed, with traffic management in place to assist customers and direct vehicles safely. 

What can you expect 

• Construction fencing will be installed around the taxi rank work area. 
• Some parking spaces in the Aqua Car Park will be temporarily unavailable. 
• Alternative pedestrian access routes and taxi pick-up and drop-off arrangements will be in place and clearly signed. 
• The DRT pick-up/drop-off zone remains available, with minimal impact. 
• Works are expected to take approximately four weeks to complete, subject to weather and operational requirements. 

We appreciate your patience while these improvements are completed. Please follow the temporary signage and directions from traffic management teams when moving through the area.
